Personality
Qisya is kind, sweet, and the very picture of quiet confidence. She genuinely enjoys adventuring and helping people but does not relish in the attention being the Warrior of Light brings. Despite her aversion to the spotlight, she takes her role very seriously and feels it important to maintain the persona of a brave, indestructible heroine when in public. Her mantra: If no one else can do it, then I must. For better or worse, Qisya is a master at compartmentalizing. She tends to avoid her issues by making herself busy and, as of Stormblood, has become a bit of a workaholic. She can also be surprisingly reckless and stubborn for someone so mild-mannered, and is not at all a pushover. Qisya does not have a martyr complex or a desire to go out in a blaze of glory; she just forgets sometimes that she is, in fact, not invincible. If Qisya were a DND character her highest stat would be CHA and her lowest would be WIS. She's not much of a talker but has the aura of someone you can trust and often comes across as extremely charming when she does open her mouth, though it's (almost) never done intentionally. She can be pretty dense in regards to romantic intentions however, especially those directed at herself.
Timeline

Early Life
Qisya was born to a young Miqo'te couple in the North Shroud. Her biological father (a conjurer for the Twin Adders) was killed in a skirmish against the Ixal when she was very young, and so she remembers little about him. A few years later her mother (a former Wood Wailer) eventually remarried to a man she had rescued from angry Sylphs--a Xaelan refugee from Othard. Qisya has fond memories of picnics and fishing trips, and while her family was by no means rich she never wanted for much.During the 7th Calamity, Qisya and her parents sought shelter with her extended Keeper family. Her eyes mysteriously turned blue (with gold flecks) after the ordeal.
A Realm Reborn (20-21)
Qisya had always been a little restless and eager to explore the world, but it wasn't until a particularly nasty illness almost took her stepfather's life and drained her family of their gil did she finally decide to venture out to earn some money. Some time after helping her family get out of the red, she stumbled into the world of the Scions and became quick friends with Yda and Papalymo. She joined their ranks hoping to do good with the blessing she had discovered.Though things ended on a bit of bad note due to the banquet in Ul'dah, Qisya spent a lot of A Realm Reborn experiencing highs most adventurers could only dream of.

Heavensward (21-22)
While she would eventually grow to love Ishgard and its people, the events of Heavensward were nothing less than emotionally taxing for Qisya. Though they were never truly more than friends, there were mutual romantic feelings between her and Haurchefant--something she would not realize until after his death. This loss coupled with that of Ysayle and (eventually) Papalymo would take a major toll on her psyche. Her cheerful demeanor remained seemingly unchanged, but the people closest to her could sense a sort of melancholy underneath now.Shortly before facing Nidhogg, Tataru and Alphinaud walked in on Qisya trying to cut off most of her hair and did their best to salvage it.
Stormblood (22-23)
Qisya spent a lot of Stormblood on autopilot, going to places and doing whatever it was people wanted her to in a desperate attempt to stay busy. Despite how disconnected she felt at times she did manage to bond more with Lyse, someone with whom she already had a close friendship with. It would not be until her confrontation with Myste after returning to Gyr Abania from Othard would she actively try to reconcile with her feelings of guilt, grief, and regret. Her first encounter with Zenos left her with a scar that runs diagonally across her chest. Of all the people she'd faced to this point, he was probably the scariest--not that she would ever admit it.

Shadowbringers (23-24)
Things were finally starting to look up for Qisya until a mysterious voice started to whisk away her friends one-by-one. Though it started with Zenos in Stormblood, Shadowbringers continued to remind her of her mortality and slight fear of death. Despite the rollercoaster of events however she came out stronger and (perhaps!) happier and healthier than she'd ever been--or at least since ARR.Her connection to Amaurot was something that initially made her uncomfortable, but has since made peace with it. She's adamant that she is Qisya and Azem is Azem and also long gone, but she recognizes and respects the importance of Emet-Selch's final wish.
Endwalker (24)
Endwalker was probably the worst couple of weeks of Qisya's life--how else would you describe the period of time in which you both jumpstarted and ended an apocalypse? That said despite her running on fumes half the time it was also probably one of the most enlightening--be it about learning more about herself or the nature of the world she and hers inherited. The world is beautiful. The journey was fulfilling. And there is no use agonizing about the end.At the behest of all her friends she's tried to take things easy after almost dying at the edge of the universe, but once a traveler, always a traveler..

Relationships
For the most part Qisya is extremely agreeable and can get along with most folks. She considers all of the Scions very good friends, but outside of G'raha she is closest to Lyse and the twins. Thancred, Urianger, and Y'shtola all view her as a younger sister of sorts, though (surprisingly) out of all of them Y'shtola was the one who developed a protective streak. Both Alphinaud and Alisaie have crushes on her but Qisya has (and will) only ever see them as little siblings.Besides her parents and the Scions, Qisya also considers the Fortemps family. She knows of some extended Keeper relatives but does not have much of a relationship with them as she was raised outside of the tribe. She has/had two close friends from her youth--the first a Seeker boy she dated in her teens before he had to move away with his merchant family (they are no longer in contact), the other a Hyur boy who eventually became a conjurer for the Twin Adder (note: the Eager Conjurer from duty support).Qisya had brief crushes on Thancred and Hilda, and may have started something with Haurchefant had he not passed. Her and Sidurgu did have a brief fling during Stormblood that never really became anything more, though Rielle sure wishes it did.Despite not being short of admirers as the Warrior of Light, G'raha is Qisya's first serious partner since the story began. Qisya confessed her feelings to G'raha some time after 5.1 but before 5.3. Currently the two are engaged; G'raha popped the shortly after Qisya recovered from the events of 6.0. There's something about watching the love of your life almost bleed to death in front of you that makes you not want to take anymore chances... you know! For more of my headcanons on their relationship, see the following (points are made in chronological order, where it matters):
